Journal Management Workflow

MANFISH Journal implements an electronic journal management system using Open Journal Systems (OJS). This system ensures that every stage of manuscript management is transparent, efficient, and standardized.

1. Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the OJS submission system, providing complete metadata and uploading the manuscript file according to the Author Guidelines. The manuscript must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

2. Initial Screening

The editorial team conducts an initial screening to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope, meets formatting requirements, and adheres to publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the author for revision.

3. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers under a double-blind peer review system. Reviewers provide comments and recommendations—accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

4. Editorial Decision

The editor evaluates the reviewers’ feedback and decides whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected. Authors will be notified accordingly and asked to revise if needed.

5. Copyediting and Proofreading

Once accepted, the manuscript undergoes copyediting for language, style, and layout. Authors may be requested to review the edited version before the final publication.

6. Publication

The final, approved version of the manuscript is published online on the journal’s website. Each article receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and is archived for long-term access.

7. Post-Publication

After publication, the journal promotes and disseminates the article through digital platforms and indexing databases. Authors are encouraged to share and engage with their published work.

Workflow Summary

The general editorial workflow is as follows:

  • Submission → Initial Screening → Peer Review → Editorial Decision → Copyediting → Proofreading → Publication

All processes are managed electronically through OJS to ensure traceability, consistency, and integrity in the scientific publication process.
