Submission
Submission Checklist for Manuscripts
Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts must pay attention to the following points. If the manuscript does not comply with the stated requirements, it may be returned:
-
Originality Declaration
Authors must declare that the submitted manuscript is original, containing their own ideas and analyses, and is not a translation or adaptation. The manuscript must not be under consideration for publication in any other media and must not have been published elsewhere. Authors are willing to take full responsibility for any complaints or legal appeals arising from the publication of this manuscript. -
Compliance with Legal Standards
The manuscript must not contain any statements that violate the law, defamatory remarks, or any material that infringes on the privacy or ownership rights of any individual or entity. -
Withdrawal Process
If, during the review process, the author wishes to withdraw or cancel the manuscript, they agree to inform the editor and adhere to the established manuscript withdrawal rules. -
Formatting Compliance
The text and format of the manuscript must comply with the writing guidelines or the provided template. If not, the author agrees to revise the manuscript upon its return. -
Plagiarism Policy
The maximum allowable plagiarism level for the submitted manuscript is 25%. -
References Requirement
The manuscript must include a minimum of 10 references, with at least 80% sourced from scientific journals. The remainder can come from proceedings, patents, research books, or research reports. -
Published Manuscripts
Authors may not withdraw or cancel a manuscript that has already been published, as withdrawal wastes valuable resources. Publishers invest significant time and costs in processing submitted manuscripts. -
Withdrawal Penalties
If the author requests to withdraw their manuscript while it is still in the peer-review process, they will incur a penalty of Rp 500,000 per manuscript as a withdrawal fee to the publisher. It is deemed unethical to withdraw a manuscript that has been submitted to one journal if it has already been accepted by another. -
Post-Acceptance Withdrawal
For a manuscript that has been accepted for publication, the author will incur a penalty of Rp 1,000,000 per manuscript for withdrawal. Withdrawal is only permitted after the penalty has been fully paid to the publisher. -
Blacklist Policy
In the case of violations regarding manuscript withdrawal, if the author disagrees with the imposed penalties, the author and their affiliation will be placed on the SEMAI blacklist.
