AUTHOR GUIDELINES

All manuscripts submitted to SEMAI: Journal of Scientific Exploration of Modern Agricultural Innovations can be written in either Indonesian or English. Authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript, and each manuscript must be an original scientific work that has never been published before.

Download and use the provided template in the OJS side menu. Below are the manuscript writing instructions for SEMAI. If there are foreign words, they should be italicized.

  1. Title
The manuscript title should not exceed 20 words, and each word should start with a capital letter, except for conjunctions. If there is a subtitle, the font style should be the same as the main title. The author’s name should be written in full without academic titles. The affiliation should only include the name of the institution and the city/district name.

  2. Abstract
The abstract must be written in both English and Indonesian. The word count should be between 100 and 150 words. The content of the abstract should be clear, concise, compact, and descriptive. It should provide an overview of the research topic, the rationale for the research, the research methods, and the research results. It must include 3 to 5 keywords/phrases that should ideally be a subset of the manuscript title, separated by commas.

  3. Introduction
The introduction should contain the background issues, challenges, or needs that inspired or motivated the author, as well as the solution or objectives, and a literature review. All parts of the introduction should be presented integratively in paragraph form. Citations of other research intended to strengthen the author’s arguments or ideas should follow the APA 7th edition citation style.

  4. Methodology
This section should contain a description of the steps or procedures used to address the problem or describe the solutions offered to resolve the existing issues, including the tools, materials, and formulas used.

  5. Results and Discussion
This section should include the research results and data analysis (not raw data). The presentation can be supplemented with tables, graphs, curves (figures), and charts, which explanations should accompany. This section should also contain a discussion that reviews the research results concerning previous studies, theories, or existing knowledge. The discussion may support, develop, or even contradict previous research.

  6. Conclusions and Suggestions
The conclusion should contain a summary of the results of the discussion and generalizations based on the research conducted. Based on the conclusion, suggestions for future similar research should be provided. Conclusions and suggestions do not need to be separated into sub-sections but can be distinguished by paragraphs.
