PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN LIMBAH BIJI SALAK SEBAGAI BAHAN CAMPURAN BETON TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN BETON

Abstrak

Concrete is one of the materials commonly used by the public as a construction material. In making concrete, the constituent materials that are often used are cement, sand, crushed stone, and water. The quality of concrete depends on the constituent materials such as crushed stone, to reduce the amount of crushed stone material needs, it is necessary to find other alternatives as a concrete filler material, namely using salak seed waste. The use of salak seed waste material aims to reduce the waste of salak seed residue which has been simply thrown away and becomes garbage that pollutes the environment. This research method uses an experimental method where research is conducted to determine the effect of compressive strength of concrete with added ingredients of salak seed waste as a substitute for some coarse aggregates with a concrete quality plan f'c 16.9 Mpa. The planning of concrete mixtures with added materials of salak seed waste as a partial replacement of coarse aggregates is made with several percentages, namely 5%, 10% and 15%. After conducting research and testing the specimens at the age of 7 days, it was found that concrete with added ingredients of salak seed waste as a partial substitute for coarse aggregate at a percentage of 5% met the planned compressive strength value, while for a percentage of 10% and 15% decreased the compressive strength value of concrete.
