Kajian Perspektif Masyarakat Terhadap Transportasi Publik
Abstract
The Indonesian government's policy of increasing the price of fuel oil (BBM) in 2022 had a significant impact on people's lives. The city of Pontianak is one of those affected. As a city with more than 422,429 active drivers, the increase in fuel prices affects spending on daily mobility. Several cities in Indonesia have implemented public transportation facilities that are running well. However, research related to public transportation in the city of Pontianak is still minimal. This study aims to examine the perspective of people in Pontianak city on public transportation regarding the increase in fuel prices. The data collection method used a questionnaire survey with a purposive sampling technique. The survey results were analyzed by looking at the relationship between the mean value and standard deviation. Correlation analysis between several variables was conducted in this study. The study found the inconsistency of public perceptions about public transportation in Pontianak. These results showed the negative correlation in the analysis result between variables regarding opinions related to saving mobilization costs and responses about the urgency of public transportation
